Hello,
I experienced two problems immediately after installation:
1) I installed SQLExcel as administrator, but am running my computer with a normal unprivileged user (of course). Putting the "connectionsettings.xml" in the program folder is really really bad design. This has to be put in the personal user directories, as Microsoft recommends it for several years now...
I added write permission for normal users to that file, but this was apparently not enough to help with the next issue.
2) I get a runtime error 3704 ("Operation not allowed when the object is closed"

when I try to add a new connection (which was successfully test before). Doesn't matter whether I try this with my regular account or an account with administrative privileges.
After clicking the error message away in the database connection manager, the complete addin doesn't work anymore - none of the button reacts to a click, the whole buttonbar is useless. I have to restart Excel to make it work again.
The idea of SQLExcel might be nice - but the flaws described above, and found after only a few minutes of testing, give me a really bad feeling. Has a long way to go to be usable, sorry...
Kind regards,
MrBuddha
