Yikes, I think there is a problem with this forum as I just tried to post up a reply and it seems to have dissapprared.. If anyone else has the same problem, please let me know. Maybe I did something wrong..
For the license, there is not plan for that. But it is possible in the future as I don't have any clear idea on what will be done with this project.
The original idea was to keep myself busy while looking for a job. I was away travelling for a good while so I thought this would be good to get an extra item on my resume and also get me freshened up with programming.
If I were to be out of work for several more months and ended up spending thousands of hours on the add-in then I would say it should be commerical - at least for companies. If the add-in had very good functionality, then I think they can afford a nominal license fee. But I recently got a new job so I would not be able to spend that time on the add-in normally. Also, with a commerical product, I think you need very timely support which I could not provide while working full time.
Also, when I am working again, I will keep the add-in going forward as much as I can but won't be able to do as much.
Please let me know if you have any idea for this subject ?
