Maximum connections? 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1
As i work with MS Query now, i hit the limit of connections with Access. Actually im not sure if its Access of the MS Query which is giving the error. This led me to the question if it would be the same with your plugin. I haven't tried it, because its a lot of work ,but do you think i would hit that limit also?

Hi

I think this is for the embedded queries and if this is correct then you would have the same limit as the sql excel addin can just be used to setup the embedded queries... Once they are setup then you are using the exact same datalink technology as MS Query - so the limits would be the same..

Funily enough, but this type of situation - setting up embedded queries, might be the type of situation where the programmatic access to the addin would be useful. Also it would be useful here without the form as you could have a list of queries in a range or in a data file and then loop through it and populate all the embedded queries in one shot. Just an idea - not sure if that would be useful. But the limits would be the same in any case..

Is the limit you hit around 255 ? I think that is the maximum number of connections you can have with pre Acces 2007 (not sure of that).

Hope all that makes sense. Have a nice night.
Al
