Configuration of "files open" directory 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 2
Hi Al!

Is it somehow possible to configure the folder opened when clicking the file/open button in the main query builder form to be a different one (instead of %USERPROFILE%\Anwendungsdaten\sqlexcel\sql) ?

Would be nice for deployment in a larger context, to have "standard" queries at your fingertips...

-regards,
Roland

Hya Roland,

Thanks for that..

Yes it is on the to do list. I know it is a pain as it is.

The way I was thinking of doing it was adding a new settings file where we will store the addin settings.

This file path of this file will be fixed, but we will be able to store the other settings there. Initially, I am planning just to do a few settings, EG, the path of the Connection_settings.xml, the path of the sql query files, and the default control settings (which dropdown entry is selected by default in the form..). Later we can have alot more settings there. Especially when we tun on some the currently hidden functionality of the query builder.

I don't think this will get done this weekend though. I have done the VBA code generation up but didnt get a chance to test it correctly and would like to release it soon.

Thanks Roland !!
See you later, Al
